Our new facility in Indianapolis will have approximately 60 employees specialized in the manufacturing and worldwide distribution of ground power supply system, pre-conditioned air equipment and customer solutions in the field of airport equipment. Summary
Under broad supervision, this Planner/Scheduler function is responsible for manufacturing production planning and control work to optimize the use of resources and meet production schedules and standards including: planning and controlling production schedules and coordinating with material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials, estimating and scheduling the human resources, tools, and equipment needed for the production process, researching, evaluating, and recommending changes to production processes, systems, technology, or equipment to enhance organization's production capabilities.
Pay Range: 70k-83k. - depending on experience
- Plans, schedules production activities by sequencing individual work centers: Prepares work orders for production or purchase requests based on production schedules; generates production schedules and prioritizes work orders to ensure production optimization
- Maintains and reports complete and accurate information on Production Schedules and goals.
- Ensures optimum capacity for all production resources: Adjusts schedules according to work order specifications, material, machines, equipment, and staffing
- Establishes guidelines for production orders to provide schedule balance.
- Analyzes work flow and identifies opportunities for continuous improvement to maximize manpower and equipment.
- Assists in reallocating material not required for production orders; manages excess and obsolete inventory and material returns.
- Develops instructions for Production Control work processes
- Ensures closing of Work Orders and on time invoicing.
- Demonstrated understanding of manufacturing processes and work flows
- Excellent software application skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem-solving/issue resolution skills
- Work effectively with all levels of management and staff.
