Warehouse Operator
Summary
The Warehouse Operator will be involved in the management of the daily operations of the warehouse. The warehouse worker's responsibilities include overseeing the receipt, storage and dispatch of products or materials. In collaboration with the warehouse manager you will be responsible for maintaining inventory levels, ensuring the safety of products and managing the physical organisation of the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities
- Receiving and processing goods (picking, unloading, labelling and storing).
- Prepare orders for deliveries or pick-ups according to schedule
- Keeping accurate records of goods received and distributed, managing delivery notes
- Carrying out inventory checks and maintaining high quality standards for audits
- Maintain an uncluttered and safe working environment to optimise use of space
- Completing daily inventory records
- Report any discrepancies
- Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and co-workers
- Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, standards and regulations.
Requirements
- Demonstrable work experience as a warehouse worker
- Knowledge of software, databases and inventory systems
- Familiarity with modern warehousing methods and practices
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Valid licence to use fork-lift trucks and crane bridge crane
- Secondary education certificate
