As Purchaser / Buyer you will manage the complete procurement cycle — from sourcing and purchasing materials to ensure their timely receipt at company facilities — acting as the single point of accountability between vendors, internal stakeholders, and the warehouse/receiving team.

• Material Planning & Purchasing
  • Processing of requirements according to Confirm Ship List, MRP and other requirement messages
  • Analyses project material availability for customer orders and identify risk buys on long lead time items through the MRP system  
  • Maintenance of article master data and order data in the ERP system Business Central
• Vendor Management
  • Source and negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery conditions with suppliers
  • Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure competitive pricing and reliable service
  • Issue and manage purchase orders in line with production/project needs
  • Evaluate supplier performance (price, quality, delivery reliability) in cooperation with QM
  • Determining the origin of goods, obtaining LLE and data sheets
• Order Follow-up & Expediting
  • Track purchase orders after issuance to confirm production/shipping timelines
  •  Proactively contact vendors (calls, emails) to expedite orders at risk of delay
  • Escalate and resolve delivery issues before they impact operations
  •  Maintain visibility of order status and communicate delays to internal stakeholders
• Receiving & Materials Coordination
  • Coordinate with facilities to ensure incoming material is received on schedule
  •  Support or oversee physical receipt/inspection of materials at the warehouse with QA
  • Verify received goods match purchase orders (quantity, specs, condition)
  • Resolve discrepancies with vendors (damaged goods, shortages, wrong items)
• Process & Continuous Improvement
  •  Maintain accurate records of purchases, deliveries, and vendor performance
  •  Identify bottlenecks in the procure-to-receipt cycle and propose improvements
  • Collaborate with production/project teams to align material availability with schedules

• Technical or commercial education
• Some years’ experience in Procurement within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Requires the ability to communicate effectively in English (written and verbal)
• Domestic and international sourcing required
• ERP (Business Central) und MS Office Knowledge
• Good technical understanding of the electrical and mechanical parts purchased
•  Ability to meet product release deadline by identifying and mitigating risk buys
• Develop supplier relationship and partnership
